4.3 Which kernel

Next

We are using 2.4.21-rc3 currently. 2.4.21 is the only official kernel with the summit patch (Summit is the code name of the chipset giving life to the x440 server: memory controller and I/O and interrupts). There is an option in this kernel especially for the x440. A vanilla SMP kernel will only see 2 CPU.

The RedHat enterprise 2.4.9 works also (but who cares).
