Linuxconf 1.8 is a very important official release. Linuxconf
has been tested by thousands of people and now support many distribution out
of the box. The future looks very promising. Some talks are even going on to
make Linuxconf a standard component of at least one distribution.
Very few things were changed before the release since 1.7r23. Linuxconf
was not supporting correctly the xfrnets feature of the file /etc/named.boot.
Also some works is done to enhance security while calling sub-programs. This
is needed because Linuxconf is a setuid program.
